Medicalcorner24® supports regional youth football
Supporting youth has been especially important to the Medicalcorner24® team since the company was founded in 2013. When the chairman of the SUS GW Barkenberg youth football department and business owner Michael Witgenfeld approached us about jersey sponsorship, the decision was therefore not a difficult one. During a friendly conversation, Mr. Pech and Mr. Witgenfeld discussed the next steps. The framework was quickly established and, just a short time later, on 31 May 2018, the SUS Barkenberg under-13 team appeared in its new kit.
Nervous but proud, the team took to one of the pitches at OZC Ommen in the Netherlands in their new jerseys. There, the 11- to 13-year-olds took part through 3 June in the international youth football tournament “Oranje Cup”, carrying a large dose of motivation and enthusiasm with them. The tournament was organized by the non-profit organization KOMM MIT.
Although the chances of winning the tournament were not particularly good from the outset, they were, after all, competing as a district league C-3 team against opponents playing at a considerably higher level. However, the early elimination did not dampen their good spirits or their joy at taking part in any way. Quite the opposite. According to Dirk Pech, the best experience was that the children, not least because of the new jerseys with the MC24 logo, grew into a real team in Holland. The players’ enjoyment is clearly visible.
